7th Jun 18′ – Going Cold Turkey

Feeling – optimistic

Like the title of the post suggests, I am going cold turkey from my medication.

Currently on 400mg lamotrigine and 30mg of mirtazapine per day.

No tapering, let’s do this! ๐Ÿ‘Š

Just a stranger writing about their life as a mental illness sufferer. I hope you can relate to the content on my site :)

  1. You have no idea who I am, but I’m just going to go out on a limb and say that this doesn’t sound like a very good idea. I’m a bit late to the show, so if this post is true, then you’ve been meds free for three weeks now. Even if you’ve gotten through it without totally losing the plot, then you should know that it’s really not healthy to come off head-meds abruptly like that. From a physiological perspective, as much as a mental one. I hope you’re okay, whatever happened.

    1. It wasn’t healthy ๐Ÿ˜‚ I had to start taking them about 6 days later because I felt like I was going to die. I’m still disappointed I have such a dependency on them but I guess that’s just the way it is. Thank you for the kind words though much appreciated
